Target Compensation: $120,000 – $170,000 base salary (commensurate with experience)

Target Bonus: 45-55%

Position Overview
\n
The Account Manager – Microgrids & Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is responsible for driving revenue growth and developing strategic customer relationships within Delta’s Energy Infrastructure organization.
\n
\n
This position requires direct, demonstrated sales experience with microgrid and/or BESS solutions. The successful candidate will understand the technical and commercial complexities associated with energy storage and distributed energy solutions and will have experience navigating long, complex sales cycles with customers such as developers, EPCs, utilities, contractors, commercial and industrial organizations, and other energy infrastructure customers.

This is a quota-carrying, hands-on sales role responsible for identifying new opportunities, developing and managing a strong pipeline, expanding strategic accounts, and closing complex, high-value microgrid and BESS opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Management & Revenue Growth
\n
- \n
- Own and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts within the microgrid and BESS market
- Achieve and exceed assigned revenue targets through direct customer engagement and business development
- Identify, develop, and close net-new microgrid and energy storage opportunities
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive long-term revenue growth
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers across target customer organizations
- Identify opportunities to expand Delta’s presence within existing customer accounts

Microgrid & BESS Solution Selling
\n
- \n
- Lead complex, consultative sales cycles for microgrid and battery energy storage solutions
- Understand customer energy requirements and work with internal technical teams to position appropriate solutions
- Engage directly with developers, EPCs, utilities, contractors, C&I customers, asset owners, and other energy infrastructure stakeholders
- Navigate complex technical and commercial discussions throughout the sales process
- Partner with engineering and product teams to develop customer-specific solutions
- Maintain ownership of opportunities from initial prospecting and qualification through proposal, negotiation, close, and commercial handoff

Pipeline & Forecast Management
\n

- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified microgrid and BESS opportunities
- Maintain accurate pipeline, opportunity, and forecasting information within CRM
- Drive consistent deal progression and proactively identify risks or barriers to closing
- Provide regular reporting on sales performance, pipeline health, customer activity, and market conditions

Cross-Functional Leadership

- Partner with internal teams across Sales, Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Operations
- Coordinate internal resources throughout complex customer engagements
- Support successful project transition and execution following commercial award
- Maintain strong customer relationships throughout the sales and project lifecycle

Required Qualifications:
\n
- \n
- 7+ years of direct, quota-carrying B2B sales experience within technical, industrial, or energy infrastructure environments
- Direct sales experience with Microgrid and/or Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is required
- Demonstrated success selling complex, engineered energy solutions
- Proven experience developing and closing high-value, long-cycle opportunities
- Experience selling to developers, EPCs, utilities, contractors, asset owners, or Commercial & Industrial customers
- Demonstrated ownership of a substantial sales pipeline and revenue target
- Strong understanding of consultative and solution-based selling
- Ability to communicate effectively with both commercial and technical stakeholders
- Strong negotiation, account management, and relationship-development skills
- Ability to travel as required to support customers and business development activities

Qualifications:

- Experience with distributed energy resources, energy management systems, power conversion, or related technologies
- Familiarity with renewable energy integration and grid infrastructure
