Summary Objective
The primary function is to ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. This includes providing financial information to management to support financial decision-making by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports.
Essential Functions
- Manage professional level accounting functions and the preparation of reports including earnings, profits/losses, cash balances, and cost accounting.
- Manages daily cash position and cash forecasting processes.
- Confirms accuracy of operating and financial reports.
- Advises upper management regarding matters, such as effective use of resources and methods, for preventing capital being frozen.
- Interprets accounts and records to upper management.
- Analyzes records of present and past operations, trends and costs, revenues, commitments, and obligations incurred.
- Develops, installs, and maintains budgeting systems that provide control of expenses.
- Documents financial transactions by preparing general ledger account entries and by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts, and analyzing account information.
- Reconciles balance sheet and select income statement accounts along with accounting system modules/subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger.
- Ensures that daily operational (Purchasing, Accounts Receivable Billing, Cash Receipts and Disbursements and Payroll) financial transactions are correct.
- Prepares for ISO 9001 and other audits.

Work Location
This position will work out of our Main Office in Jacksonville, FL. This position is not approved for telecommuting or working remotely.
Work Environment
This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed. There are times when overtime will be required, and it may reach 50 to 60 hours a week.

Required Education and Experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent number of years of experience plus five years of accounting experience.
Education and Experience
- CPA designation.
