Accounting Specialist

Our company is currently seeking a Part-Time Accounting Specialist to join our team! You will be responsible for various accounting functions as described below. The work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 1:00 PM, flexible schedule possible.
Responsibilities:
- Import / enter purchase orders
- Process invoices
- Check the accuracy of invoices and payment terms
- Code invoices correctly by job and phase code
- Monitor daily time sheets and weekly reconciliation
- Monitor and code all charge card activity
- Reconcile weekly time cards from field electricians
- Backup Union payroll processing (will train)
- Assist project managers with administrative support
- Run reports for project managers
- Other administrative duties and special projects as required
Qualifications:
- 2 years previous experience in accounting field
- Relevant accounting education/training
- Construction accounting experience a plus
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Previous accounting software experience
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong organizational skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Emphasis on accuracy over speed
- Complete follow through on tasks
- Works well independently and with others
