Job Summary:
As the Aerial Foreman, you will ultimately be responsible for leading aerial construction crews, managing field operations, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. You will coordinate day-to-day project execution and deliver high-quality telecommunications infrastructure solutions. As the Aerial Foreman, your customers are broadband operators and utility providers, and you will make meaningful contributions to the company’s success through leadership, quality control, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
• Place telephone poles and anchors in accordance with project requirements
• Operate equipment such as bucket trucks, posthole diggers, and other handheld tools
• Perform aerial construction tasks including new cable installs, pole transfers, strand building, cable hanging, and lashing
• Perform construction work such as digging holes, placing cable, and pulling cable through conduit systems and open excavations
• Climb utility poles and use aerial lift trucks to place cables and perform installations
• Supervise employees and maintain accountability for assigned vehicles, equipment, and project invoicing
• Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs
Required Qualifications:
Education, Licensing, and Certifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class A CDL required
Experience
• 3+ years of experience in telecommunications aerial and underground construction
• Previous management or crew leadership experience required
Skills and Abilities
• Ability to work efficiently from a bucket truck
• Frequent climbing of utility poles using ladders or climbing gear
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications
• Proficiency using manual tools such as shovels, posthole diggers, and handheld tools
• Knowledge of telecommunications construction practices in aerial and underground environments
• Ability to utilize email and upload photos via mobile applications
• Ability to travel as required
Qualifications:
• OSHA 10 certification
• OSHA 30 certification
• First Aid certification
• Spanish-speaking ability
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work outdoors for extended periods
• Work performed outdoors, in all weather conditions, at heights, and around active work zones
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
