Architectural Technician

Blueprint Recruitment has an exciting new opportunity on offer for a skilled Architectural Technician to join a well-established engineering and nuclear consultancy, on a 6-month contract basis. Within this role, you will be required to work on-site from our client's London office. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of complex Defence projects, as a part of a skilled and motivated team.\n\n-Competitive hourly rate ranging from £40-£45 (depending on experience).\n\n-On-site working arrangements.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n-Produce concise architectural drawings, elevations, sections, and specifications using BIM or CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Revit.\n\n-Work with multidisciplinary teams to identify and find solutions for any design and constructability concerns and challenges.\n\n-Develop designs with a focus on material specification, integration of building systems, and full compliance with current building policies and regulations.\n\n-Create and survey project specifications, documentation, and schedules.\n\n-Conduct site visits to allow for project inspection and monitoring whilst ensuring that all construction follows the design specifications.\n\n-Ensure project quality by inspecting drawing packages, resolving concerns, and maintaining up-to-date documentation of all works taking place.\n\nRequirements: \n\n-Qualified in architectural technology and/or building engineering, or a similar discipline, and must have security clearance.\n\n-3+ years of experience as an Architectural Technician, or in a related role, with a focus on Data Centre and Defence projects.\n\n-Strong proficiency with the use of software tools, such as Revit and AutoCAD.\n\n-Solid understanding of current building regulations, material systems, and construction detailing.\n\n-Excellent communicator with strong coordination skills, and an ability to adapt effectively across a variety of disciplines.\n\n-A strong attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, with a willingness to strive towards continuous development and excellence, is ideal
