With a substantial backlog of secured work and continued growth across the Dallas market, the business is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join its project delivery team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious electrical construction professional to gain experience on major projects while working alongside experienced Project Managers and senior leadership.

We are seeking a motivated and organised Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale electrical construction projects in the Dallas market.

\n

Working closely with the Project Manager, field leadership, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, general contractors, and clients, you will assist with the commercial, technical, and operational management of projects from preconstruction through completion.

\n

This role is ideally suited to someone with experience in electrical construction who is ready to take the next step in their career and develop into a Project Manager. Experience on data center, mission-critical, commercial, industrial, or other large-scale projects would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager with the day-to-day management and delivery of electrical construction projects.
  • \n

  • Assist with project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, procurement, and change management.
  • \n

  • Coordinate project schedules and monitor progress against key milestones.
  • \n

  • Assist with the preparation and review of RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation.
  • \n

  • Coordinate closely with general contractors, clients, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
  • \n

  • Attend and contribute to project meetings, providing updates on progress, risks, costs, and outstanding issues.
  • \n

  • Assist with material procurement, equipment coordination, and delivery schedules.
  • \n

  • Support the review of drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and contract requirements.
  • \n

  • Help identify project risks, scope gaps, schedule issues, and potential cost impacts.
  • \n

  • Maintain accurate project records and ensure documentation is completed in accordance with company procedures.
  • \n

  • Support quality control, safety, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
  • \n

  • Develop strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
  • \n

  • Work alongside senior Project Managers to develop the skills and experience required to progress into a full Project Manager position.

Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • 2+ years of experience within electrical construction, project engineering, project coordination, or a related construction role.
  • \n

  • Experience working for an electrical contractor or MEP contractor is .
  • \n

  • Electrical construction experience is strongly .
  • \n

  • Exposure to large-scale commercial, industrial, healthcare, data center, or mission-critical projects would be advantageous.
  • \n

  • Understanding of electrical construction processes, drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • \n

  • Basic understanding of project budgets, scheduling, procurement, and change management.
  • \n

  • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • \n

  • Comfortable working with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.
  • \n

  • Proficiency with construction/project management software and Microsoft Office.
  • \n

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or a related discipline is but not essential.
  • \n
