Job Description
My client is a major electrical contractor at the TSMC job site in North Phoenix. The Associate Director of Construction will oversee day‑to‑day jobsite operations, to coordinate multiple field crews of 120+ subcontractors, ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and according to plan. This role requires strong leadership, deep electrical construction knowledge, and experience working on large commercial or industrial projects. This role is aligned to the growth of the construction company and its new projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead field operations for large‑scale electrical construction projects up to $30M in value
- Manage electricians, foremen, and subcontractors, coordinate work with project managers, engineers, and other trades
- Design Change & Change Order Discipline, lead the project site's response to ongoing design evolution typical of semiconductor and advanced manufacturing environments.
- Serve as the senior on-site leader for disciplined change identification, documentation, and coordination.
- Multi-Project Planning & Production Control, lead execution across complex, highly coordinated construction environments, integrating planning, logistics, and field operations to deliver predictable outcomes under spatial, sequencing, and schedule constraints
- Design and maintain site logistics systems that protect field productivity from material shortages, access conflicts, and information gaps.
- Establish clear accountability for material handling, staging, prefabrication, and point-of-use delivery across projects.
- Partner with project engineering and field leadership to ensure layouts, material takeoffs, and installation details are accurate, timely, and executable.
- Play a key role in expanding site capability into higher-complexity scopes (e.g., tool install and equipment hook-up) as conditions and staffing allow.
- Ensure staffing plans support both current project commitments and anticipated future workload at the campus.
- Safety, Quality & Compliance, set the tone for visible, consistent safety leadership across all projects on site.

Required Qualifications
\n
- \n
- 10+ years of electrical construction progressive leadership experience
- Experience supervising large commercial or industrial electrical projects up to $30MM value
- Strong knowledge of electrical installation practices and jobsite coordination
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- experience working on data centers, semiconductor fabs, or mission‑critical facilities
- Experience coordinating large electrical crews and complex installations
- Familiarity with fast‑track construction schedules
- OSHA training or equivalent safety certifications
- Cutsheets, scheduling, reporting, budgeting, pre-planning, field & trailer work locations
