About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate to join our Electrical department in our Boston office. This leadership role offers the opportunity to manage a variety of projects from concept through completion while contributing to the strategic growth of the firm.
As an Associate, you’ll lead project teams, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with firm leadership to deliver high-quality engineering solutions and drive business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead conceptual design efforts, including system criteria, equipment room sizing, and building stack development
- Guide project teams through construction documentation and project completion
- Manage review of shop drawings, RFIs, contractor change orders, and conduct site visits and punch lists
- Establish and manage project schedules, ensuring efficient resource use and timely task completion
- Prepare proposals and additional services; coordinate reviews and approvals with Partners
- Coach and mentor staff, provide performance feedback, and support professional development goals
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical Engineering
- 10–14 years of electrical engineering experience
- Proficient in design calculations and software tools such as Revit and AutoCAD
- Strong project management and leadership skills
- Deep understanding of trade-specific scopes, codes, and coordination with other disciplines
- Knowledge of documentation requirements for all project phases (SD, DD, CD, specifications)

Estimated compensation range: $122,000-140,000 base salary per year
