Associate/ Associate Director - Electrical Engineering (Data Centres)\nVertical Recruitment are extremely proud to be working with a leading independent global MEP design consultancy with offices in Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Australia. The company are one of the world's leading consultancies in the Data Centre Sector.\nAn independent multi-award-winning business, with an excellent industry reputation.

They work with both developers and internationally recognised end users, designing Data Centre Projects globally, typical project values reach the multibillion-pound region.\nDue to the continued expansion of their Manchester team, they are looking to recruit an Electrical Associate Director to lead a diverse and multi-disciplinary team on technically challenging projects.\nThis role will be responsible for managing projects to deliver an excellent service to clients and assisting on the ongoing development and growth of the business as a whole, whilst providing sound technical, design, and contract management support.\nThey’re looking for an experienced leader to take overall accountability for the performance of the electrical function as part of the wider management team.\nResponsibilities\n * Promotes learning from successes and problems within the group and across the business\n * Develops and implements plans for the longer-term benefit of the office\n * Assists with the recruitment, appraisal, performance, work, development, morale, and motivation of the team\n * Provides robust directional and honest feedback to staff\n * Organises training needs for teams\n * Oversees the financial performance including ensuring healthy profit and cash flow\n * Procures work and negotiates significant contracts and agreements with customers and suppliers\nQualifications\n * CEng (or equivalent) with an appropriate professional body\n * Recognised as an expert within the industry in the region\n * Experience in leading successful and dynamic teams\n * Desirable experience in managing large-scale, technical projects\n * Experience in dealing with complex escalated problems on behalf of multi-disciplinary teams\n * Behaviours which demonstrate integrity, straight-talking, respectful, and fairness\n * Experience in promoting and enforcing a culture of respect and of all in the business\n * Strong critical engineering technical experience within the data centre sector is \nBenefits\n * 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays\n * 7% matched pension contribution\n * Annual discretionary bonus scheme\n * Private healthcare\n * Life insurance\n * Critical illness coverage
