Associate / Lead Structural Engineer\n\nAn established and growing multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Associate / Lead Structural Engineer to join their expanding team in Welwyn Garden City. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior structural engineer seeking a leadership role within a collaborative and technically driven business delivering high-profile projects across the UK and Europe.\n\nThe business operates across sectors including data centres, logistics, residential, retail, energy and commercial developments, offering engineers the opportunity to work on technically complex and large-scale projects.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs an Associate / Lead Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the technical delivery and leadership of structural engineering projects from concept through to completion. You will manage project delivery, mentor junior engineers and act as a key point of contact for clients and multidisciplinary teams.\n\nResponsibilities will include:\n\nLeading structural engineering projects across a variety of sectors\nManaging programmes, resources and project delivery to time and budget\nProducing and reviewing structural calculations, reports and specifications\nCarrying out structural design from first principles\nLiaising with clients, architects, contractors and external stakeholders\nProviding technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers\nIdentifying project risks and ensuring successful delivery\nSupporting wider business and practice management activities\n\nRequirements\n\nDegree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering\nChartered (MIStructE / MICE)\nStrong experience within a structural engineering consultancy environment\nDemonstrable experience delivering structural projects across commercial, industrial, logistics, residential or data centre sectors\nStrong understanding of Eurocodes and British Standards\nExperience using structural design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, Robot or similar\nExcellent communication and client-facing skills\nAbility to lead projects and mentor junior team members\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\nCompetitive salary and bonus potential\nHybrid and flexible working options\nPrivate medical insurance\nEnhanced pension contribution\nProfessional membership fees paid\nOngoing CPD and career development support\nClear progression route into senior leadership\nOpportunity to work on complex and high-profile projects within a growing consultancyThis is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Structural Engineer looking to take the next step in their career within a forward-thinking consultancy that values innovation, technical excellence and career progression
