AWS Cloud Architect III

\nThe AWS Cloud Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable cloud solutions within Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role translates complex business objectives into secure, high-performing technical architectures while driving innovation and efficiency across the organization. The Architect also serves as a trusted advisor, guiding teams on AWS best practices and leveraging emerging technologies to optimize performance and cost.

\nThe company is located in Webster, MA and will be a hybrid model.
\n
\nWhat You Will Be Doing:
\n• Define and execute cloud strategies that align with business goals and technical requirements.
\n• Design, document, and maintain detailed architecture diagrams and technical specifications.
\n• Build, deploy, and manage production-grade systems on AWS, utilizing compute, storage, networking, and database services.
\n• Continuously assess and optimize cloud costs, ensuring efficient use of AWS resources.
\n• Enforce robust security and compliance standards through IAM, encryption, and access control policies.
\n• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure scalability and high availability of services.
\n• Provide technical leadership and mentorship on AWS best practices, architectures, and emerging tools.
\n• Drive automation and innovation through the adoption of modern AWS services such as Serverless, Auto Scaling, and PaaS/SaaS solutions.
\n• Collaborate effectively across technical and business teams, communicating complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
\n• Lead AWS migration initiatives from on-premise data centers, ensuring seamless transitions.
\n• Shape the long-term technical vision for the company, promoting scalable and sustainable architecture patterns.
\n• Build and mentor a team of architects, fostering professional growth and a culture of technical excellence.

\nRequired Skills & Experience:
\n• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
\n• 15+ years of experience in software development or cloud architecture, with a strong track record leading large-scale cloud initiatives.
\n• Extensive expertise across AWS services, including compute, storage, networking, Kubernetes, and security.
\n• Proven experience designing and implementing end-to-end cloud architectures and migration strategies.
\n• Deep understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, encryption, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
\n• Strong command of networking (VPCs, routing, subnets) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible).
\n• Proficiency in scripting such as Python or Shell for automation and orchestration.
\n• Hands-on experience with AWS Workspaces and Citrix migration projects.
\n
