Basebuild Semiconductor Construction Coordinator / Superintendent
The Basebuild Semiconductor Construction Coordinator (Superintendent) is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily field construction activities associated with semiconductor facility basebuild projects. This role ensures that construction work is executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and semiconductor facility requirements.
The Superintendent serves as the primary field representative and works closely with project managers, subcontractors, engineers, safety personnel, and clients to coordinate site operations across multiple trades in highly technical cleanroom and industrial construction environments.
Key Responsibilities
Field Construction Coordination
- Coordinate daily construction activities for semiconductor basebuild projects including:

- Structural systems
- Concrete and foundations
- Architectural scopes
- Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) infrastructure
- Utility systems
- Cleanroom support infrastructure
- Manage field operations to maintain project schedules and productivity goals.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field crews across multiple disciplines.
- Conduct daily site walks and monitor construction progress.
Schedule & Production Management
- Support execution of project schedules, milestones, and look-ahead planning.
- Identify and mitigate schedule impacts and field conflicts.
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment staging, and site logistics.
- Assist with turnover planning and system completion activities.
Safety & Quality
- Enforce all site safety policies, OSHA requirements, and semiconductor facility protocols.
- Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site inspections.
- Ensure construction quality meets project specifications and client standards.
- Coordinate inspections, punch lists, and corrective actions.
Communication & Reporting
- Maintain daily reports documenting manpower, progress, delays, and safety observations.
- Participate in coordination meetings with project management, engineering, and clients.
- Communicate field issues and recommend solutions to project leadership.
- Assist with RFIs, field change requests, and issue resolution.
Semiconductor Facility Support
- Coordinate work in active manufacturing or controlled environments when applicable.
- Ensure compliance with contamination control and clean construction protocols.
- Support utility tie-ins, shutdown coordination, and high-purity system installations.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5+ years of construction field experience, preferably in industrial or semiconductor environments.
- 2+ years of supervisory or superintendent experience.
- Strong understanding of commercial or industrial construction practices.

- Semiconductor, data center, pharmaceutical, or advanced manufacturing construction experience.

- OSHA 30 certification .
- Experience coordinating MEP and utility infrastructure systems.
