Position Summary:

We are seeking a BIM Coordinator. This individual will be an integral member of the on-site BIM Department, providing essential support throughout the lifecycle of a hyper-scaled data center construction project. Reporting to the BIM Manager, the BIM Coordinator will work closely with site leadership and cross-functional teams to manage day-to-day site activities.

This role will collaborate with project-level management as well as the IT team regarding BIM process standards, technology support, and training. The BIM Coordinator will provide day-to-day guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members to optimize Navisworks features and follow project modeling and coordination standards.

This position will be fully on-site near Boise, Idaho.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical advisor in the onsite field office
  • Participate in BIM setup, standards, and coordination processes
  • Establish early standards for data exchange to optimize BIM use for scheduling, quantity take-off, estimating, and other project functions
  • Collaborate with project team members, clients, designers, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
  • Coordinate and manage model families and initiate coordination efforts using Navisworks Manage
  • Facilitate 3D model exchange and coordination with consultants, contractors, and fabricators
  • Maintain a working understanding of Newforma Konekt for collaboration and issue tracking
  • Run clash detection studies, generate reports, assign workflows, and ensure resolution
  • Ensure construction geometry is accurate and efficiently presented to field teams
  • Maintain model libraries and create archive record models upon project completion
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Communicate clearlyverbally, written, and electronically

Salary Range:

$83,200.00 - $119,600.00

Qualifications

Professional Experience and Education:

  • 47 years of experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry required
  • Experience with complex commercial projects required
  • Experience with large, complex project delivery
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related field

Position-Related Skills:

  • Experience in data centers, semiconductors, and/or advanced manufacturing environments
  • Experience with BIM, AutoCAD, and Revit
  • Strong team collaboration skills across all levels of an organization
  • Flexible work schedule, including extended hours or off-shift work as needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with trade and craft professionals in field environments
  • Strong presentation and communication of design and construction concepts
  • Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining professionalism
  • Strong visual observation and interpretation skills
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret design documents and specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Understanding of computer networks
  • Experience with VDC methods and digital fabrication
  • Proficiency with Procore and Bluebeam
  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, and common data environments
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Navisworks Manage, including Clash Detection, Quantification, and Timeliner
  • Ability to lead BIM coordination meetings

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and active construction sites
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and access confined or underground spaces
  • Frequent use of computers and office equipment; occasional use of machinery
  • Visual acuity for data analysis, document review, and fieldwork
  • Ability to safely operate a vehicle with a valid drivers license
  • Ability to work near loud equipment and wear hearing protection as needed
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English regarding plans, regulations, and procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry or push materials up to 100 feet
  • Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
  • Ability to access all areas of a construction site
  • Flexible schedule to meet project demands
  • Strong independent judgment, organization, and critical thinking skills
