We are partnering with a leading Building Controls specialist to recruit a BMS Project Manager for their rapidly growing Special Projects division. This team delivers complex Building Management System (BMS) and Controls projects across hyperscale AI Data Centres throughout the UK and Europe.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead technically challenging, multi-million-pound projects while working alongside some of the industry's most experienced Controls and Commissioning specialists. With a strong pipeline of UK and European work, you'll play a key role in delivering critical infrastructure projects for some of the world's largest technology organisations.
Role Overview
As the BMS Project Manager, you will take ownership of projects from award through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
You'll manage project programmes, commercial performance, procurement, subcontractors and client relationships while supporting key commissioning milestones across hyperscale Data Centre projects throughout the UK and Europe.
The role is predominantly home-based, with travel to customer sites and the Cambridge office as required.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver end-to-end BMS and Controls projects across hyperscale Data Centres
Manage project programmes, budgets and commercial performance
Lead procurement activities and coordinate subcontractors and internal engineering resources
Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle
Support commissioning activities and key project milestones
Monitor project risks, costs and programme performance
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget
Coordinate with engineering, commissioning and design teams to achieve successful project delivery
Produce project reports and maintain accurate project documentation
Drive quality, compliance and continuous improvement across all project activities
The Ideal Candidate
You'll have experience delivering technically complex BMS or Controls projects and enjoy working within critical environments.
You'll ideally possess:
Project Management experience within BMS, Controls or Building Automation
Strong Data Centre or Critical Environment project experience
Technical background in Building Management Systems or Controls
Commercial and programme management experience
Strong stakeholder and subcontractor management skills
Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office
Niagara knowledge (desirable)
Allen-Bradley or Rockwell PLC experience (advantageous)

This is a home-based role with projects across the UK and Europe.
Travel typically involves:
1-3 day site visits
A couple of project trips each month
Attendance during key commissioning stages and project milestonesFlexibility is required to support project delivery and commissioning programmes
