Brazing/Soldering Technician Responsibilities

  • Implement and optimize a variety of brazing heating techniques, including flame brazing and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding, to achieve the best fusion results and joint integrity in different production scenarios.
  • Apply brazing filler material, ensuring the correct amount and placement for optimal strength and durability of joints.
  • Master the repair techniques for brazing joints specific to Airsys technology, ensuring all repairs meet the company's stringent quality standards.
  • Integrate and apply comprehensive classification methods and principles of fusion brazing, selecting the appropriate brazing and filler materials based on their application scenarios and fundamental characteristics, as outlined in Airsys technology guidelines.
  • Ensure safety in the brazing process by identifying potential hazards and implementing safety risk measures, adhering to the company’s proactive safety protocols, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Regularly maintain and perform upkeep of brazing tools, applying guidelines for daily maintenance to prolong tool life and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Apply process control methods to maintain high standards of assembly, consistent with Airsys cutting-edge connection techniques and assembly technology trends.
  • Manage the brazing work environment according to standards, ensuring all operational areas are optimized for safety, efficiency, and compliance with environmental regulations.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a brazing environment, with expertise in brazing processes and joint quality control
  • Knowledge of brazing heating methods, solder application techniques, and joint repair technologies.
  • Familiarity with various brazing processes, their advantages/disadvantages, and appropriate filler material selection
  • Skilled in using brazing tools and materials, including daily maintenance of electrodes and equipment.
  • Understanding of brazing safety principles; able to use PPE correctly and implement safety measures.
  • Ability to read and follow written/verbal instructions and interpret blueprints.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with process control and quality checks in assembly operations.
