We are seeking a Senior Broadcast Network Engineer to support and design high-performance IP networks powering live production and media workflows. This role focuses heavily on multicast architecture, low-latency transport, and SMPTE-2110 environments within a live broadcast ecosystem.
This is not a traditional enterprise networking role — we are looking for someone with hands-on experience supporting real-time IP video transport in media environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot multicast networks (IGMP, PIM-SM, SSM) in live production environments
- Support and optimize SMPTE-2110 IP video transport systems
- Engineer low-latency, high-availability broadcast networks for live events
- Manage multicast routing, RP design, boundary controls, and QoS tuning for real-time media streams
- Support spine-leaf and data center architectures supporting IP video workflows
- Troubleshoot packet loss, jitter, and latency in high-visibility live production scenarios
- Work closely with broadcast engineering, production, and operations teams during live events
- Support Cisco Nexus / Catalyst / ASR platforms in media transport environments
- Participate in maintenance windows and high-impact live cutovers
Required Experience

- Strong hands-on multicast experience in a media or broadcast environment
- Proven experience supporting SMPTE-2110
- Deep knowledge of:
- IGMP (v2/v3)
- PIM Sparse Mode / SSM
- Multicast troubleshooting (mroute tables, RP issues, querier placement)
- Experience supporting real-time IP video transport
- Experience with QoS tuning for latency-sensitive traffic
- Experience with Cisco Nexus / Catalyst environments
