OnQCx is seeking a Building Envelope QA Specialist to join our team in Amarillo, TX, supporting the delivery of a hyperscale data center project. This role sits within the CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) scope, with a strong focus on building administration, envelope performance, and pressurization systems.

The QA Specialist will act as the owner’s representative on site, ensuring all envelope construction activities meet project specifications, quality standards, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for building envelope construction (curtainwall, roofing, waterproofing, insulation, cladding, air barriers, etc.).
  • Conduct inspections and testing for building pressurization and envelope performance.
  • Verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Review contractor submittals, installation methods, and testing procedures.
  • Maintain daily QA documentation, reports, and punch lists.
  • Participate in commissioning activities related to the building envelope.
  • Collaborate with the design team, GC, trades, and client representatives to proactively resolve issues.
  • Monitor field work for adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Support turnover documentation and closeout related to envelope systems.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of QA/QC or construction experience with a focus on building envelope systems (data centers or other mission-critical projects ).
  • Strong understanding of CSA scopes including curtainwall, roofing, waterproofing, insulation, air barriers, and pressurization systems.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (ASTM, NFPA, ASHRAE, etc.) and building envelope testing methods.
  • Experience supporting large-scale industrial, semiconductor, or hyperscale data center projects highly .
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; able to track details while keeping big-picture goals in mind.
  • Ability to interface directly with contractors, design teams, and owners in a professional manner.
