Title:Data Center Technician - Night Shift
Pay: 35-38/HR on W2
Hours: Initial Training (Site Induction) would take place on day shift
Shift : 8pm - 8am or 8 AM to 8 PM
This is a 4X3 day work schedule/ 12 hour shifts/ non-rotating
Location: 7725 Lake Rd, Barker NY 14012
Overview of Work Environment/Client Nuances:
Data Center
This will be an active construction
Team Overview:
Some independent work and some team work
Resource's typical working day:
Monitor and raise awareness for issues, repair work is not needed
• Chillers and Cooling towers
• Pumps
• Valves
• Fire Protection Systems
• Heat exchangers and liquid cooling systems
Licenses/Certifications:
None required, HVAC or electrician license is a big plus
Must Have Skills:
1. Some knowledge of SCADA, Client, system
2. Ability to work under pressure in critical environments
3. Effective communicator, can escalate issues quickly
4. Perform Inspections
· Medium- and low-voltage switchgear
· UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems
· Power Distribution Units (PDUs)
· Backup generators and transfer switches
· Battery systems and monitoring equipment
5. Monitor building management systems (Client) and electrical monitoring systems (EMS).
6. Conduct real-time system checks and log equipment performance.
7. Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations and emergency response activities.
8. Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of electrical systems.
9. Experience in critical environment is a must

About the Role:
As a Data Center Technician, you will perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation.
This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.
What You'll Do:
•Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
•Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
•React to Building Management System alarms, and complete emergency repairs as needed.
•Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
•Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn't meet all requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
•Complete planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
•Check Client for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related client problems.
•Building walkthroughs, taking meter readings from UPS, PDU's and utilities.
