*Seeking road-warrior, independent worker with DAS experience. May occasionally be out of town for up to 3 weeks (2 weekends). Must be able to mobilize from our Ocoee HQ location when not out of town.
The In-Building Tech is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of communications equipment and cabling infrastructure. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency in the execution of daily tasks.

Field Operations
- Follow all company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Communicate clearly and professionally with vendors, customers, management, and co-workers.
- Install, test, and troubleshoot:

- Cabling infrastructure including Category 5e, 6, 6a, multi-pair copper, and fiber optics.
- Networking and communications systems, including telephony and structured cabling components,
- DAS equipment including Ericcson DOT, ADRF, Solid, etc.
- Understand and apply telephony architecture, copper multi-pair frames and cross-connects, codes, and system connectivity.
- Support networking access methods such as Ethernet and associated IEEE standards.
- Apply current trends and best practices in structured cabling for enterprise networks and data centers.
- Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards including IEEE, ANSI, TIA, EIA, BICSI, NEC, NFPA, and OSHA.
- Anticipate and plan work-around procedures to address project delays or interruptions.
- Complete and submit accurate documentation and checklists for safety, vehicle, and tool inspections.
- Assist with maintaining clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Resource & Equipment Management
- Care for and maintain assigned tools, materials, safety gear, field equipment, technology, trailers, and vehicles.
- Help track and prevent loss or damage to tools and equipment.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- This position requires frequent out-of-state travel including overnight stays. Must be willing to travel approximately 90% of the time.
- Experience in installation, testing, and troubleshooting of cabling infrastructure inclusive of category 5e, 6, 6a, multi-pair copper and fiber optics.
- Experience with carrier integration and DAS installation, especially Ericcson and Verizon equipment and practices.
- Understanding of commercial construction, electrical principles, and voice/data/video networks.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering, architectural, and construction drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of building, mechanical, and electrical codes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.

- Positive, “all-in” attitude and dependable work ethic.
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Education and Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in cabling infrastructure, networking architecture, or commercial construction practices (low voltage experience ).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain BICSI Cabling Installation Certifications.
- Hands-on First Aid/CPR training or ability to obtain.
- Completion of all required training to maintain company and industry compliance.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, climb, squat, kneel, twist, and lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedly.
- Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
- Must be alert and able to work safely around construction equipment and active job sites.
- Must be comfortable working in various environments, including heights, uneven ground, noise, dust, gas/fumes, and varying weather conditions.
- Must be willing and have ability to work on a ladder and lift.
