Mitra Information Technology is seeking an energetic, strategic Business Development Director to help drive and develop the growth of our IT Asset Recycling (ITAR) business. This role will play a key part in expanding partnerships, increasing revenue, and strengthening our buyback and decommissioning network.

 

The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven leader with deep knowledge of data center hardware lifecycles, channel sales, and refurbished IT markets, who thrives in a hands-on, growth-focused environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the business development team by setting clear performance goals and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and accuracy

• Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities related to IT asset recycling and buyback services

• Build and maintain strong relationships with data centers, VARs, MSPs, OEM partners, and enterprise clients

• Develop and scale buyback and decommissioning pipelines with enterprise and cloud customers

• Collaborate closely with internal teams (pricing, inventory, operations, and logistics) to ensure client needs are met efficiently and competitively

• Stay current on market trends related to AI infrastructure, refurbished IT equipment, sustainability, and circular economy initiatives

• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to proactively adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge

• Represent Mitra Information Technology at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities

 

Qualifications

• 10+ years of business development or sales experience within IT asset recycling, ITAD, or VAR/channel sales

• Established network within data center, cloud, or enterprise infrastructure markets

• Strong understanding of IT hardware, including servers, networking equipment, and data center infrastructure

• Knowledge of IT asset recycling value streams and secondary market dynamics

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as R2v3 and/or e-Stewards

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and growth targets

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

• Strong channel and partner relationship management experience

• Ability to work onsite in Walnut, CA
