We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to join our business within the low voltage switchgear industry. This role will initially be based within the internal sales team, providing a comprehensive understanding of the company's products, processes, and operational model. Following this onboarding period, the role will transition into a UK-wide business development position, working independently to identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities.

The focus of the role will be to supply and deliver modular low voltage switchgear panels for data science and data centre environments, targeting key growth sectors including Education, Hospitality, Retail, and Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

    \n
  • Initially work within the internal sales function to gain a full understanding of:
  • \n

      \n
    • Company systems, processes, and culture
    • \n

    • Product range and technical capabilities
    • \n

    • Quotation, pricing, and order management processes
    • \n

    \n

  • Develop and execute a UK-wide business development strategy to win new clients and projects within:
  • \n

      \n
    • Education
    • \n

    • Hospitality
    • \n

    • Retail
    • \n

    • Healthcare
    • \n

    \n

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with:
  • \n

      \n
    • Consultants
    • \n

    • Contractors
    • \n

    • End users
    • \n

    • Panel Builders
    • \n

    \n

  • Identify opportunities for the supply and installation of modular low voltage switchgear panels
  • \n

  • Conduct market and competitor analysis, identifying trends, pricing strategies, and opportunities to differentiate the business.
  • \n

  • Prepare and manage quotations, including:
  • \n

      \n
    • Technical input
    • \n

    • Commercial pricing
    • \n

    • Supporting diagrams and panel layouts
    • \n

    \n

  • Work closely with internal engineering, design, and operations teams to ensure accurate solutions and successful project delivery.
  • \n

  • Manage the full sales lifecycle from initial enquiry through to contract award.
  • \n

  • Represent the business professionally across the UK, attending client meetings, site visits, and industry events as required.
  • \n

Skills & Experience Required

\n

    \n
  • Proven experience within the low voltage switchgear industry or a closely related electrical infrastructure sector.
  • \n

  • Strong background in sales, business development, or account management.
  • \n

  • Experience supplying or working with modular switchgear panels, power distribution, or data centre infrastructure (highly desirable).
  • \n

  • Ability to read, interpret, and contribute to technical diagrams and quotations.
  • \n

  • Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills.
  • \n

  • Confident working independently and remotely, managing a UK-wide territory.
  • \n

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • \n

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • \n

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

Salary:

\n

£45,000 - £55,000 per annum
