Position Summary 

\n

Full Time / In Office / Imperial, PA 

\n

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities for Beacon Modular's prefabricated and modular electrical solutions. This is a proactive, sales-focused role centered on prospecting, lead , persistent follow-up, relationship development, and customer acquisition. 

\n

The successful candidate will engage owners, developers, general contractors, EPC firms, engineers, consultants, electrical contractors, and technology companies to create opportunities and generate revenue. The ideal candidate has an established network within the mission critical or data center market and the confidence and persistence to convert prospects into long-term customers. 

\n

 

\n

The ideal candidate has working knowledge of electrical construction, critical-power infrastructure, offsite manufacturing and modular/prefabricated delivery.  

\n

 

\n

*Occasional overnight travel may be required. 

\n

 

\n

Key Responsibilities:  

\n

Sales Development & Lead  

\n

    \n
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the mission critical, data center, industrial, utility, and commercial construction markets. 
  • \n

  • Develop and maintain an active pipeline of prospective customers and projects. 
  • \n

  • Generate leads through outbound calls, targeted emails, referrals, networking, jobsite and office visits, industry research, and professional events. 
  • \n

  • Maintain frequent, disciplined contact with prospects and persistently follow up until a clear next step or outcome is established. 
  • \n

  • Schedule customer meetings, presentations, facility tours, and discovery sessions. 
  • \n

  • Track leads, contacts, customer interactions, next steps, and opportunities in the company CRM or designated sales tools. 
  • \n

  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events to expand Beacon Modular's market presence and develop relationships. 
  • \n

Customer Relationships & Opportunity Development 

\n

  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers, influencers, and industry partners. 
  • \n

  • Clearly communicate the value of Beacon Modular's modular electrical skids, prefabricated electrical rooms, engineered power solutions, and offsite manufacturing capabilities. 
  • \n

  • Qualify opportunities based on customer fit, project timing, scope, budget, decision process, competition, and probability of award. 
  • \n

  • Coordinate opportunity handoff and pursuit strategy with preconstruction, estimating, engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams. 
  • \n

  • Develop trusted relationships that create repeat business and early engagement on future projects. 
  • \n

  • Develop relationships with owners, developers, architects, engineers, consultants, commissioning providers, general contractors, EPC firms, equipment manufacturers, and trade partners. 
  • \n

  • Provide leadership with regular updates on pipeline activity, customer feedback, market conditions, competitive positioning, and forecasted opportunities. 
  • \n

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer expectations are understood and Beacon presents a coordinated, technically credible solution. 
  • \n

  • Represent Beacon Modular professionally and consistently in every customer and industry interaction. 
  • \n

Required Qualifications:  

\n

    \n
  • Established contacts within the mission critical, hyperscale, colocation, or data center markets. 
  • \n

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, outside sales, account management, or customer acquisition within construction, manufacturing, engineered products, or a related industry. 
  • \n

  • Demonstrated ability to independently identify prospects, generate leads, secure meetings, develop opportunities, and advance sales pursuits. 
  • \n

  • Persistent and comfortable with frequent outbound customer contact and repeated professional follow-up. 
  • \n

  • Strong interpersonal, written communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. 
  • \n

  • Self-motivated, accountable, organized, and able to manage a geographically dispersed opportunity pipeline. 
  • \n

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and sales tracking tools. 
  • \n

  • Ability and willingness to travel to customer meetings, project sites, and industry events. 
  • \n

Qualifications:  

\n

    \n
  • Experience selling construction services, electrical construction, prefabricated systems, modular solutions, electrical equipment, or engineered products. 
  • \n

  • Working knowledge of commercial construction, project delivery, procurement, estimating, and contracting processes. 
  • \n

  • Background in electrical construction, electrical systems, power distribution, modular electrical rooms, skids, switchgear, or critical infrastructure. 
  • \n

  • Experience working with data center owners, cloud providers, developers, general contractors, EPC firms, design consultants, or major electrical contractors. 
  • \n

  • Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, engineering, marketing, or a related field. 
  • \n

  • Qualified opportunities generated and advanced through the sales pipeline.

  • New customer relationships and customer meetings established. 
  • \n

  • Proposal opportunities secured and conversion of pursuits into awarded work.

  • Revenue and gross profit generated from new and expanded customer relationships.

  • Growth of Beacon Modular's visibility and relationships within the mission critical market.

Travel:

Regular travel is required based on customer, project, and industry needs. Travel will include customer meetings, project visits, conferences, and other business development activities and may vary throughout the year.
