We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to join our Client's Critical Fuel Systems division serving the Kansas City Metro area. This Business Development Manager will focus on acquiring new customers in sectors where backup generator fuel systems are mission-critical infrastructure. You'll work with data centers, cell tower operators, hospitals, and healthcare facilities to ensure their emergency power systems remain operational during outages.

Key Responsibilities – Business Development Manager

  • Generate new revenue through cold calling, networking, trade shows, and prospecting in telecommunications and healthcare markets
  • Qualify leads and execute sales strategies within target markets including data centers, cell towers, hospitals, and healthcare facilities
  • Prepare and present proposals for critical fuel system projects including fuel storage tanks, day tanks, pump sets, and fuel maintenance programs
  • Maintain CRM systems (HubSpot, Deltek Vision) with accurate pipeline and account information
  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop fuel system solutions that meet client specifications and EPA compliance requirements

Qualifications – Business Development Manager

  • Min 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in critical infrastructure, fuel systems, generators, or industrial equipment
  • Proven track record of generating leads, qualifying opportunities, and closing new accounts
  • Proficiency with CRM software (HubSpot, Deltek Vision, or similar platforms)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for proposals, presentations, and client relationship management
  • Self-motivated with accountability to meet and exceed sales goals with minimal supervision

Qualifications – Sales Manager Critical Fuel

  • Experience selling to telecommunications companies, data centers, or healthcare facilities
  • Knowledge of backup generator systems, fuel storage, or emergency power infrastructure
  • Familiarity with EPA fuel compliance (SPCC plans) or environmental regulations
  • Established network in Kansas City Metro telecommunications or healthcare sectors
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field

Physical Requirements – Business Development Manager

  • Ability to attend networking events, trade shows, and client meetings throughout the Kansas City Metro area
  • Work performed primarily in office environment with occasional visits to client sites
  • Standard business hours Monday–Friday with occasional evening events
  • No overnight travel required; all business conducted locally within Kansas City Metro
