Job Description

Lead market expansion, strategic account development, and complex commercial pursuits for the U.S. ESS business. The role requires a senior commercial leader with a strong network, deep understanding of storage applications, and a proven record of closing profitable energy and battery storage deals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business development strategy and execution for the U.S. ESS market across utility-scale, C&I, data center, microgrid, and renewable integration segments.
  • Develop and manage strategic customer relationships with utilities, developers, EPCs, integrators, channel partners, consultants, and major end users.
  • Build a qualified sales pipeline and drive order intake, revenue, and margin performance in line with company targets.
  • Lead commercial discussions including customer engagement, opportunity qualification, value proposition development, pricing strategy, and contract negotiation.
  • Track market trends, policy developments, competitive activity, and customer requirements to guide go-to-market strategy and strategic priorities.
  • Coordinate with product management and engineering teams to translate customer needs into product roadmap and solution recommendations.
  • Support RFP/RFQ strategy, executive presentations, proposal reviews, and commercial approval processes.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, industry conferences, trade shows, and strategic partner events.
  • Maintain accurate CRM discipline, pipeline forecasting, and regular reporting to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Energy, or related field; MBA .
  • 10+ years of business development, strategic sales, or commercial leadership experience in the U.S. energy, battery, solar, power, or ESS industry.
  • Demonstrated success originating and closing complex, high-value energy or ESS transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. ESS applications, customer buying criteria, project structures, and procurement processes.
  • Established network across utilities, developers, EPCs, integrators, consultants, or major commercial accounts.
  • Strong commercial judgment in pricing, contract structure, risk evaluation, and margin management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel as required across the United States.

Qualifications

  • Direct experience with BESS products, containerized ESS, PCS/inverters, EMS/SCADA, or system integration.
  • Experience in data center power solutions, utility procurement, renewable project development, or large-scale C&I sales.
  • Knowledge of U.S. incentive programs, financing structures, and interconnection or project development processes.
  • Experience in a global manufacturing or technology company environment.
