We currently have an opening for Buyer/Planner in our RCD Components facility, located in Manchester, NH. This position is critical to the success of iNRCORE Group and will be supporting purchasing and production planning activities to ensure material availability, maintain inventory levels, and meet customer delivery requirements. This role reports directly to the Operations Manager.
The ideal candidate for this position should be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing procurement and planning tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. They should have experience working with vendors, negotiating pricing and delivery terms, and using ERP systems for procurement and production scheduling. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with engineering, operations, and suppliers are essential.
Details of the Role: The position of Buyer/Planner will be responsible for acquiring materials, supplies, and services, placing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate purchasing and planning records. During the course of a standard workday, you will be expected to coordinate purchasing activities with other departments, monitor inventory levels, create and manage production schedules, and ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Place purchase orders for goods and materials with standard costs and quoted discounts
- Coordinate purchasing activities with engineering and operations to maintain inventory at planned levels
- Review opportunities for new material supply sources and assist in vendor qualification
- Negotiate with vendors to obtain quotations, pricing, and delivery schedules
- Evaluate vendor quotes and services to ensure compatibility with company objectives
- Monitor quality of goods by reviewing costs, schedules, timeliness of delivery, and conformance to specifications
- Maintain purchasing records and enter accurate information into ERP systems
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new vendors
- Monitor material availability and adjust schedules as needed to avoid production delays
- Collaborate with production and customer service teams to manage expedites and schedule changes
- Assist with resolving invoice discrepancies and support Accounts Payable as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifying Attributes and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
- Minimum of 2–3 years of purchasing or planning experience; manufacturing experience strongly
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and basic math
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for interaction with vendors and internal teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
