Field Cabling Engineer Location: Salary: 35,00038,000 (Increasing to 44k)\n Permanent \n\n Racking and stacking of servers, network devices and storage \n Auditing hardware and cabling in existing data centre environments \n Pulling and terminating Cat5e/6/6a and various fibre structured cabling systems \n Contributing to the design of data centre deployments as well as other client requirements \n Being a key part of data centre migration projects \n\n Flexible and willing to take on additional tasks and responsibilities when required \n\n Minimum 4 years experience in structured cabling and patching \n Minimum 4 years experience in data centre environments, ideally as part of a DC Ops team \n Must hold an appropriate cabling certification CNCI, BTEC, City & Guilds or BICSI \n Complete understanding of industry best practices in cabling installations and testing procedures for both copper and fibre solutions \n Proficient in the use of copper and fibre testing equipment, including OTDR, Fluke, network analyser and VFL \n Excellent understanding of CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, OM3/OM4 and OS2 cabling systems \n Demonstrable technical knowledge and experience in installation of copper, fibre, and general data centre infrastructure \n Installation, termination and testing of both copper and fibre network cables \n 2530 days holiday, increasing annually \n~ Free on-site parking in Bracknell \n~ Van provided upon arrival at Bracknell site \n~ Company-sponsored pension scheme \n~ Performance-based commission with strong OTE \n~ Overtime paid at 1.Career progression opportunities to Project Manager \n~ Optional European travel
