Pay: $16–$30/hr depending on experience
Location: Columbia, SC (serving Lexington, Irmo, Cayce, and West Columbia)

We are hiring skilled Cable Technicians to join our growing low-voltage team in the Columbia, South Carolina area. Work includes installing, routing, and terminating structured cabling systems in commercial and data-driven environments. Both experienced technicians and motivated entry-level candidates looking to grow in the trade are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Pull and route CAT5e, CAT6, and CAT6A cables in commercial buildings
• Dress, label, and terminate patch panels, jacks, and distribution frames (66/110 blocks)
• Install cable support systems including j-hooks, ladder racks, and cable trays
• Test and troubleshoot cabling for continuity and performance
• Follow BICSI, EIA/TIA, and NEC standards for quality installations

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience installing or terminating low-voltage cabling in a commercial setting
• Knowledge of structured cabling, telecom closets, and basic wiring diagrams
• Ability to work safely on ladders, lifts, and in active construction environments
• Must have reliable transportation, PPE, and basic telecom tools (punchdown, snips, wire stripper, cordless drill)
• Fiber termination or splicing experience a plus

About the Work:
Projects are primarily commercial construction, renovation, and technology upgrades across the Columbia metro area. Most work is local - minimal travel required. Our crews install and maintain structured cabling systems for office buildings, schools, hospitals, and data centers.
