Job Title: Cable Technician Helper

Location: Stateside traveling role with per diem

United States – Various locations

*Must be able to get to Salinas daily for training*

Job Summary:

The Cable Technician Helper supports experienced cable technicians with the installation, maintenance, repair, and related communication systems. This is an entry-level position ideal for candidates looking to learn a skilled trade and grow within the telecommunications field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist lead cable technicians during installations and service

• Assisting with the pulling and installation of new fiber/cat6 cables in a new construction data center

• Prepare tools, materials, and equipment needed for daily work

• Perform basic tasks such as drilling, mounting, labeling, and cleaning work areas

• Always follow safety procedures and company guidelines

• Manual labor – moving boxes and materials around the job site

• Learn how to troubleshoot basic connectivity issues under supervision

• Communicate respectfully with team members and customers when required

Requirements:

• No prior experience required (training provided)

• Willingness to learn and work in a hands-on environment

• Ability to work outdoors, climb ladders, and lift-up to 50 lbs

• Ability to work up to 12 hours per day when needed

• Basic mechanical skills or comfort using hand tools

• Must have reliable transportation for training in Salinas, PR

• Ability to travel and work outside Puerto Rico

• Must pass background check and drug screening

Skills (Not Required):

• Basic understanding of tools or construction-related work

• Customer service or teamwork experience

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
