Position Summary
LiquidStack is scaling rapidly to support mission-critical AI and high-performance computing environments. The Capacity & Production Planning Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring demand, materials, and manufacturing capacity are aligned to meet customer commitments while optimizing working capital and operational efficiency.
This role owns the short- and mid-range production planning horizon and partners closely with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Finance to drive schedule integrity, capacity modeling, and execution discipline. The Planning Lead will influence S&OP inputs, identify revenue and delivery risks, and provide scenario-based capacity analysis to support business growth.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in high-mix manufacturing environments, strong ERP/MRP fluency, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable operational decisions that protect revenue, improve service levels, and enable scalable growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Planning Ownership
- Own and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) across multiple product lines
- Translate demand forecasts and customer orders into executable production plans
- Drive schedule adherence and on-time-in-full (OTIF) performance
- Lead weekly production planning and cross-functional review meetings
- Escalate delivery risks with mitigation strategies
Capacity Modeling & Strategic Planning
- Develop and maintain labor, equipment, and line capacity models
- Conduct scenario analysis to support growth projections and product mix shifts
- Identify constraints and bottlenecks; lead mitigation planning
- Provide data-driven inputs into S&OP and business planning cadence
- Assess revenue exposure and delivery risk across the production horizon
ERP / MRP & Systems Excellence
- Own ERP/MRP planning parameters including lead times, lot sizing, and safety stock
- Drive MRP accuracy to reduce shortages and excess inventory
- Partner with IT and Operations to optimize planning workflows and system functionality
- Utilize advanced Excel modeling (pivot analysis, capacity simulations, demand modeling)
- Leverage BI tools (Power BI/Tableau or equivalent) to enhance planning visibility
Data, Metrics, and Continuous Improvement
- Track and report key planning and production metrics, including schedule adherence, on-time delivery, throughput, and capacity utilization
- Maintain accurate planning data, documentation, and reports to support ISO compliance and audit readiness
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including planning workflows, ERP optimization, and system enhancements as the organization scales

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Required Experience
- 3+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or manufacturing operations
- Hands-on experience working in ERP/MRP systems
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable plans
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, reporting, and planning tools)
- Experience working cross-functionally in a manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
- Experience in a high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing environment
- Background in capacity planning, master scheduling, or inventory management
- Familiarity with ISO-regulated or quality-driven manufacturing environments
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma concepts)
