Position Overview:
We are scaling our engineering team to support our latest strategic growth initiatives.
We are looking for an experienced CFD Application Engineer with a strong and proven background in Cadence CFD technologies, including Fidelity CFD and related high-fidelity simulation tools. This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on experience using and supporting Cadence software and is confident working directly with clients to deliver technical solutions, consultancy support, and structured training.
As a CFD Application Engineer at Mansim, you will play a key role in supporting customers who use Cadence tools for advanced fluid dynamics, heat transfer, turbomachinery, marine, and digital twin simulations. You will help clients successfully implement simulation workflows, troubleshoot complex modelling challenges, and maximise the value of their software investment.
Key Responsibilities:
•\tProvide technical support to clients using Cadence CFD solutions, including troubleshooting model setup, solver behaviour, and post-processing issues.
•\tSupport consultancy projects delivered using Cadence tools, contributing to simulation setup, validation, and interpretation of results.
•\tDeliver structured training sessions and technical workshops to customers on Cadence CFD software.
•\tAssist customers with geometry preparation, meshing (including Pointwise), solver configuration, and workflow optimisation.
•\tSupport high-fidelity simulations using tools such as Fidelity CFD and CharLES where applicable.
•\tContribute to marine, turbomachinery, and thermal management applications using Cadence technologies.
•\tAssist with digital twin and data centre modelling workflows using Future Facilities / 6SigmaDCX solutions where relevant.
•\tHelp prepare clear technical reports, guidance documents, and training materials.
•\tMaintain organised project documentation to ensure traceability and repeatability.
•\tWork closely with Cadence technical teams when advanced escalation or product feedback is required.
•\tContribute to continuous improvement of internal workflows, automation scripts, and best-practice guidelines.
•\tSupport technical pre-sales activities where required, including demonstrations, feasibility studies, and example simulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
•\tBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Marine Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline (PhD welcome but not required).
•\tStrong understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and turbulence modelling.
•\tProven hands-on experience with Cadence CFD software, including Fidelity CFD.
•\tExperience with Pointwise for high-quality mesh .
•\tFamiliarity with CharLES or other high-fidelity/LES workflows within the Cadence ecosystem is highly desirable.
•\tExperience supporting or delivering CFD projects using Cadence tools in an industrial environment.
•\tAbility to independently diagnose and resolve modelling and convergence issues.
•\tFamiliarity with HPC environments and parallel computing.
•\tProgramming or scripting experience (Python, bash, or similar) is advantageous.
•\tStrong written and verbal communication skills in English.
•\tAbility to confidently explain complex technical concepts to engineers and technical decision-makers.
