Chiller Service Engineer\n\nLocation: London (field-based across Greater London & surrounding areas)\n Salary: £42,000 - £55,000 DOE\n Benefits: Company van, fuel card, overtime, call-out, pension, 25 days holiday + bank holidays\n Contract: Permanent, Full-Time\n\nA leading building services and facilities management contractor is seeking an experienced Chiller Service Engineer to support a portfolio of commercial and industrial clients across London and the surrounding areas.\n\nThis is a long-term, stable opportunity offering manufacturer-backed training, exposure to large commercial plant, and clear progression for engineers specialising in chillers and cooling systems.\n\nRole Responsibilities\n\nPlanned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair works on chiller systems\n\nFault diagnosis on electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration components\n\nServicing, maintenance, and repair of:\n\nAir-cooled and water-cooled chillers\n\nScroll, screw, and centrifugal compressors\n\nProcess cooling systems\n\nClose control / precision cooling equipment\n\nAssociated pumps, valves, and controls\n\nCarrying out pressure testing, leak detection, evacuation, and refrigerant charging\n\nWorking on refrigerants including R134a, R410A, R407C, R404A (and low-GWP equivalents)\n\nCompleting service reports, F-Gas logs, and statutory compliance documentation\n\nLiaising with clients, site contacts, and helpdesk teams\n\nEnsuring all works are carried out in line with:\n\nF-Gas regulations\n\nHealth & Safety legislation\n\nCompany and site procedures\n\nParticipation in an on-call rota (typically 1 in 6 / 1 in 8)\n\nCandidate Profile\n\nEssential:\n\nMinimum 3+ years' experience as a Chiller Engineer or HVAC Engineer with strong chiller exposure\n\nF-Gas Category 1\n\nProven fault-finding capability on commercial chiller systems\n\nGood working knowledge of electrical and mechanical components\n\nFull UK driving licence\n\nComfortable working independently in a field-based role\n\nDesirable:\n\nNVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning\n\nManufacturer training (e.g. Carrier, Trane, Daikin, York, Mitsubishi)\n\nInterested?\n\nIf you believe you have the skills and experience to excel in this role, apply today.\n\nAlecto Recruitment Limited is acting as an employment business for this vacancy.
