About the Role:
Our client is in the midst of a major data center migration from Boston to Dublin, Ohio — and they need a hands-on technical expert to ensure a smooth transition and stable operations post-migration.
As the Cisco Collaboration & Infrastructure Engineer, you'll lead the charge on network, server, and collaboration system configuration, with continued support after deployment. This is a critical role for a seasoned engineer who thrives in complex hybrid environments spanning AWS, Cisco, VMware, and on-prem infrastructure.
What You'll Do:Data Center Migration & Infrastructure Setup
- 
Lead and execute the migration of the data center from Boston to Dublin, OH, ensuring seamless reconfiguration of networks, servers, and Cisco TelePresence systems. 
- 
Reconfigure network tunnels, firewall rules, VLANs, and DNS to align with the new Ohio environment. 
- 
Validate compatibility between on-prem and cloud components (AWS, VMware, Cisco) and document the full architecture for post-migration support. 
Cisco Collaboration
- 
Configure and manage Cisco MCU, CMS, Codian, CMM, and Expressway-C/E systems. 
- 
Set up zones, search rules, SIP/H.323, firewall traversal, MRA, TLS certificates, and SRTP. 
- 
Administer conference bridges, call routing, and virtual meeting environments. 
- 
Manage VQCM for performance monitoring, reporting, and quality assurance. 
- 
Configure DNS, LDAP, SSL, and related certificate management. 
Networking & Security
- 
Configure and maintain Perimeter 81 gateways, access policies, user/group management, and SSO/MFA integrations. 
- 
Administer Dell L2/L3 switches (VLANs, QoS, trunking, redundancy). 
- 
Configure and maintain PF Sense and Cisco Firewalls, including VPNs, NAT, IDS/IPS, and traffic shaping. 
- 
Generate and analyze logs; integrate with remote log management systems. 
Virtualization & Cloud Integration
- 
Administer VMware ESXi and ProxMox virtualization platforms. 
- 
Support AWS-based network and server architecture, including hybrid connectivity between on-prem and cloud environments. 
- 
Optimize system performance, redundancy, and failover within virtualized infrastructures. 
Server Room Operations
- 
Oversee rack/stack, cabling, patch panels, power, cooling, and UPS monitoring. 
- 
Coordinate upgrades, hardware replacements, and preventive maintenance. 
- 
Provide occasional on-site support during scheduled changes or maintenance windows. 
What You'll Bring:
- 
5+ years of experience in Cisco Collaboration, Network, or Infrastructure Engineering roles. 
- 
Proven hands-on experience with AWS, Cisco networking, and VMware administration. 
- 
Strong understanding of data center design, migration, and operational best practices. 
- 
Familiarity with security principles, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation. 
- 
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-team communication skills. 
- 
Willingness to occasionally support off-hours maintenance or migration tasks.
