Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
\n
CJL Engineering is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team and support a variety of land development and civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in civil engineering design with a strong background in land development, stormwater management, and utility design.
\n
\n
Key responsibilities will include preparation of design drawings and technical specifications including site grading plans, utility plans, erosion and sedimentation control plans, develop and design stormwater management systems, design site utilities including water distribution, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer systems. Civil engineer will prepare and submit permit applications to applicable regulatory agencies, prepare cost estimates, technical specifications, reports, and other project documentation.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
\n
· Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
\n
· Engineer in Training Certificate or Professional Engineering License
\n
· 5 years Civil Engineering Design experience with strong background in land development, storm water management design and utility design
\n
· Experience with regulatory permitting and drawing preparation,
\n
· Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D
\n
· Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations and design standards
\n
· Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a project team
\n
· Must have strong communication (written & verbal), interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
\n
· Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple competing projects and priorities while meeting established project deadlines
\n
