Civils Site Manager – Data Centre (Freelance)\nGloucester | £325–£350 per day CIS | 4-week contract | Start ASAP\n\nThe project\n\nYou’ll be joining a live data centre expansion in Gloucester – a restructure and extension of an existing data hall on a 52-week programme with the end date aimed at mid Jan 25. You’ll be on site full-time, working alongside project managers, other site managers and a QS to help drive civils delivery over the last 4-week period.\n\nKey scope includes:\n\n * \n\n Creation of new white space and associated structural alterations\n\n * \n\n Replacement of existing generators with new units\n\n * \n\n New LV infrastructure (switchboards and distribution)\n\n * \n\n New HV transformer and diversion of existing HV supply\n\nCivils works include:\n\n * \n\n Ground clearance of trees and shrubs for new mechanical plant (chillers)\n\n * \n\n Groundworks and bases for new equipment\n\n * \n\n Internal steel frames for new rooms\n\n * \n\n Modifications to the existing building (forming openings, installing louvres, etc.)\n\n * \n\n Raised access floor installation and mezzanine floor works\n\nM&E works on the project cover typical DC systems: mechanical cooling, AC, fire protection, BMS, containment, PDUs, cabling, comms, fire systems, etc.\n\nWhat you’ll be doing (Civils SM remit)\n\n * \n\n Taking ownership of day-to-day civils delivery on site\n\n * \n\n Coordinating direct and sub-contract labour, plant, materials and logistics\n\n * \n\n Ensuring works are sequenced, safe and aligned with programme\n\n * \n\n Maintaining accurate records, site diaries and compliance with company procedures\n\n * \n\n Liaising with the wider project team (PMs, QS, M&E leads) to keep civils aligned with M&E and overall milestones\n\nWhat you’ll need\n\nYou don’t need previous data centre experience, but you must bring:\n\n * \n\n Critical infrastructure background – e.g. pharma, hospitals, critical plant, high-spec industrial/commercial\n\n * \n\n HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering\n\n * \n\n SMSTS\n\n * \n\n Black CSCS\n\n * \n\n First Aid\n\n * \n\n Full UK driving licence\n\nIf you’re an experienced Civils Site Manager looking for an immediate start and a keen day rate apply with your CV and availability
