Job Description
EdgeCore isn’t just a landlord—we’re the behind-the-scenes partner making sure our Clients’ operations run flawlessly. We believe the Client experience is as critical as our uptime. That’s why we’re creating a new type of role in the data center world: someone who lives in operations but speaks fluent “Client,” someone who can translate a breaker trip into plain English and turn a pest control schedule into peace of mind. If you like data centers, love Clients, and aren’t afraid to make things happen across teams you don’t directly manage, this role was built for you.
About the Role
The Client Solutions Partner is the go-to stakeholder for one of our key Clients once the data center goes live. You’re the bridge between the Client and EdgeCore’s world—operations, construction, network, security, and engineering.
Your mission is simple (but not easy):
- Make sure our Client is happy with our services.
- Translate technical operations into Client-friendly updates.
- Influence internal teams and vendors to jump when the Client needs it because people trust and respect you.
You’ll own escalations, incidents, site vibes, and vendor coordination. If a UPS blips, you’re ensuring the Client feels informed. If the landscaping is off or the entry gate is on the fritz, you’re on it. If the Client needs help, you’re the one they go to.
Who You Are
- You’re not a “checklist” person—you’re a relationship-builder with operational expertise.
- You enjoy talking shop about power, cooling, and networks with the best of them.
- You influence like a pro—getting people and vendors aligned without pulling rank.
- You translate tech to human—Clients trust you because you make complex simple.
- You’re organized, calm under pressure, and obsessed with finding solutions.
In short, you are:
- A Client advocate who ensures operational excellence is visible to the customer.
- A technical communicator who understands data center systems and can explain them simply.
- A natural influencer who gets internal teams to rally around Client priorities.
- A trusted partner who builds lasting relationships with Client operational teams.
What You’ll Be Doing (a.k.a Your Superpowers)
Client Whisperer
- Be the primary point of contact for all operational and service matters.
- Own onboarding and business reviews that deliver value, spark conversation, and never drag.
- Advocate fiercely for our Clients across EdgeCore.
Incident Translator & Escalation Hero
- Own Client communication during incidents—you’ll turn “generator failover” into “Here’s what’s happening, why it’s under control and what to expect next.”
- Lead post-incident reviews with clear next steps.
- Spot patterns and push improvements before the Client even asks.
Influencer-in-Chief
- Empower internal teams to execute on Client needs.
- Get internal teams and vendors moving because they want to, not because you said so.
- Keep contractual SLAs and KPIs on track and tell the story behind the numbers.
Master of Site Vibes
- Manage vendors to overall Client experience like landscaping, custodial, waste collection and recycling, pest control, and yes—cookouts.
- Ensure the site looks and feels world-class, because Client experience starts at the front gate.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 3 - 5 years of experience in data center operations, project management, or technical Client support.
- Strong proficiency in reviewing single-line diagrams across all core data center disciplines: electrical, mechanical, controls, security, fire/life safety, telecom, and supporting infrastructure.
- Demonstrated success in data center project management and/or Client relationship management.
- Excellent writing and communication skills and ability to present information in a compelling format.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with tact, discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality work under strict deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure setting.
- Strategic thinker and ability to think like an owner in all decision-making.
- Travel is expected to be approximately 10 - 20% but may increase as the business and volume of work evolves.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
What We Offer
- This is a full-time salaried position, including a performance-based annual bonus as well as equity compensation.
- Base pay range: $130,000 - $160,000 depending on experience. This role currently requires in office or on-site presence four days per week.
- Medical, dental & vision insurance coverage.
- Health & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), Health Savings Account (HSA).
- 3 weeks of PTO annually, plus 11 paid holidays.
- Company-paid life insurance & insurance.
- Company sponsored employee assistance and discount programs.
- 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company contribution.
