Overview:

We’re looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. This individual will play a key role in ensuring high-quality production and maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or multi-axis) according to blueprints and part specifications.
  • Load raw materials, install tooling, and adjust machine offsets to maintain tight tolerances.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols.
  • Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and ensure equipment remains in good working condition.
  • Edit G-code programs as needed to improve performance or correct errors.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure part accuracy and on-time delivery.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following company safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of CNC machining experience (mills and/or lathes).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and part drawings.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc, Haas, or Mazak controls .
  • Strong understanding of tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining best practices.
  • Proficient in using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, etc.).
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or trade school training .

Skills:

  • Experience with CNC programming (Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or similar).
  • Knowledge of setup sheets, job routers, and quality documentation.
  • Experience with tight-tolerance or high-precision components.
  • Background in aerospace, defense, automotive, or industrial manufacturing environments.
