An opportunity has arisen for a CNC Machinist/Mechanical Machine Operator to join a leading UK manufacturer of data centre infrastructure, telecom enclosures, outdoor cabinets and modular data centre solutions for critical industries including telecommunications, rail, utilities, defence, and enterprise data centres. \n\n Working within a well-equipped workshop, you'll use your machining expertise to support refurbishment, repair and manufacturing activities, helping to maintain the high standards required across a range of technical engineering projects. \n\n Benefits:\n\nFlexible 20-hour working week with the option of half days or full days\nCompetitive hourly rate based on experience and capability\n25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)\nVaried workshop-based work across refurbishment and repair projects\nOpportunity to utilise and develop specialist manual machining skills\nStable role within an established UK manufacturing business serving critical industries\nYour responsibilities as CNC Machinist/Mechanical Machine Operator\n\nSet up and operate manual lathes, milling machines and workshop equipment\nInterpret engineering drawings and determine machining processes and sequences\nManufacture and refurbish components to precise tolerances and specifications\nUse measuring equipment including callipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy\nSupport tooling modifications, fault diagnosis and reverse engineering activities\nMaintain workshop standards in line with safety procedures and 5S principles\nWhat we’re looking for in a CNC Machinist/Mechanical Machine Operator\n\nExtensive experience operating and setting manual lathes and milling machines\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation\nMechanical engineering qualification at ONC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent standard\nPrevious apprenticeship, machining qualification or equivalent practical expertise\nExperience using precision measuring equipment and working to tight tolerances\nWorking Hours\n 20 hours per week with full flexibility to work either half days or full days. \n\n To apply for this role as CNC Machinist/Mechanical Machine Operator, please click apply online and upload an updated copy of your CV.\n\nCandidate Source Ltd is an advertising agency.
