Commercial Director \n\n Location: Sines, Portugal (On-site 5x per week)\n\nThis is an exceptional opportunity for a Commercial Director to join the leadership team delivering Europe’s biggest data centre scheme in Sines, Portugal. This role is fully site-based, 5 days per week (no rotation).\n\n This is a flagship, technically complex programme of work that demands world-class commercial oversight and strategic guidance.\n\nThe Role - \n\n You’ll lead all commercial, cost and procurement functions for this flagship project - ensuring financial control, contractual compliance and value delivery across the full lifecycle. Working closely with project directors, clients and contractors, you’ll play a critical role in keeping the programme on time, on budget and aligned with the highest standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities - \n\nLead commercial and cost management on a large-scale data centre project\nDevelop and implement commercial and procurement strategies\nOversee budgeting, forecasting, benchmarking and financial reporting\nManage tendering, contract negotiations and contract compliance\nIdentify and mitigate commercial risks\nBuild strong client and contractor relationships\nLead and develop commercial teams\nEnsure accurate invoicing, payments and financial governance \n\n About You -\n\nStrong commercial and cost management experience in data centre construction\nSkilled across both pre- and post-contract stages\nExcellent negotiation, communication and financial management ability\nHighly organised, adaptable and collaborative\nProficient in MS Office\nFluent English\nComfortable being site-based in Sines, 5 days a week \n\n Qualifications -\n\nProfessional membership (RICS, CIOB, CICES, CIPS) desirable\nDegree in Engineering, Architecture or Quantity Surveying \n\n What’s in it for you - \n\nRelocation package included\nClear career development pathways\nGlobal exposure\nEmployee support programmes\nA culture built on trust, innovation and excellence
