Job Details

As an Estimator – Commercial Drywall, you will be responsible for developing accurate, competitive bids for complex drywall and interior systems scopes, with a strong emphasis on large commercial and industrial facilities.

You will work closely with operations and leadership to price work correctly, manage risk, and support successful project execution.

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and bid documents for drywall and interior systems scope

• Performing quantity takeoffs and pricing for:

  • Metal stud framing (load-bearing and non-load-bearing)

  • Drywall systems (standard, fire-rated, shaft wall, specialty assemblies)

  • Acoustical ceilings (ACT, specialty ceilings)

  • Insulation and interior finishes

• Estimating large commercial projects such as:

  • Warehouses and distribution centers

  • Data centers

  • Office buildings and mixed-use developments

• Coordinating with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing

• Preparing detailed proposals and bid submissions for general contractors and owners

• Attending pre-bid meetings, site walks, and scope reviews as needed

• Supporting project turnover and assisting with scope clarification during startup

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial drywall and/or interior systems

• Strong preference for candidates with large-scale project experience (warehouses, data centers, commercial builds)

• Solid understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and drywall assemblies

• Experience with metal framing, drywall systems, and acoustical ceilings

• Proficiency with takeoff and estimating software (Bluebeam, OST, QuickBid, or similar)

• Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet deadlines

• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication skills

• Proven ability to produce accurate bids and support successful project awards
