We are actively seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician who thrives in a field-based environment, enjoys troubleshooting and repairing commercial HVAC equipment, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service. This role is ideal for skilled technicians who value independence, technical problem-solving, and the opportunity to work on diverse commercial systems while advancing their careers.
In this position, you will perform service, repair, maintenance, startup, and warranty support for commercial HVAC systems across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical and mechanical failures, performing preventative maintenance, documenting system performance, recommending equipment improvements, and communicating professionally with customers regarding service findings and solutions. This role is fully field-based with dispatch from home and includes a combination of preventative maintenance, repair calls, startup support, and project-related service work.
Schedule
• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Occasional evenings, weekends, and overtime based on workload

What We're Looking For
We are seeking a dependable, technically skilled HVAC professional who can independently manage field service calls, troubleshoot systems efficiently, and maintain strong customer relationships. Candidates should be organized, solution-oriented, and capable of representing H&G Systems professionally in a variety of commercial environments.
• 5+ years of commercial and/or residential HVAC service experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and system layouts
• Experience with preventative maintenance and performance documentation
• Strong customer communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to independently manage service schedules and multiple calls
• Comfortable working in rooftops, mechanical rooms, and variable weather conditions
• Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds
• Experience with scissor lifts, genie lifts, and safe jobsite practices
• Basic smartphone or tablet proficiency for digital service reporting
Requirements
• Valid driver's license with insurable driving history
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking ability
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• HVAC technical school or formal trade program completion
