\n A senior commercial leadership opportunity is available for an experienced cost management professional with a background in large-scale construction programmes. This role will focus on leading commercial delivery, managing client relationships and supporting complex data centre construction projects from a cost management perspective.\n

\n The Commercial Lead / Senior Commercial Manager / Cost Management Lead will combine technical cost consultancy expertise with leadership responsibility, working with multiple stakeholders to deliver high-quality commercial outcomes. The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of strategic projects, lead teams and support business development activity within a mission-critical construction environment, with rotation options available.\n

The Commercial Lead / Senior Commercial Manager / Cost Management Lead Role:\n
\n
\n

\n
• Act as a key commercial contact, building strong client relationships and supporting long-term account development

\n

• Lead cost management activities including estimates, cost plans, bills of quantities and quantity take-offs

\n

• Manage cost planning and estimating processes using CostX and relevant cost databases

\n

• Provide commercial leadership across multiple projects and stakeholder groups

\n

• Support proposals, presentations and business development activity

\n

• Lead and mentor commercial teams, supporting the development of junior leaders

\n

• Implement quality assurance and quality control processes to support consistent project delivery

\n

• Provide commercial oversight of MEP packages, with strong technical understanding required

\n

Commercial Lead / Senior Commercial Manager / Cost Management Lead Requirements:\n
\n
\n

\n
• Extensive cost management experience, ideally with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in pre-construction environments

\n

• Background within cost consultancy or a similar commercial construction environment

\n

• Experience delivering major construction programmes, ideally within data centres or comparable sectors such as oil & gas or life sciences

\n

• Strong capability in cost planning, estimating, quantity take-offs and bills of quantities

\n

• Experience using CostX or similar estimating and measurement software such as Planswift, Cubicost, Candy or ZW CAD

\n

• Strong understanding of MEP packages, including exposure to MEPF requirements

\n

• Experience leading commercial teams and managing senior client relationships

\n

• Knowledge of global procurement processes

\n

• Chartered status or working towards chartership is

\n
