About the Employer
Our client is a well-established international general contractor with operations across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe. Renowned for delivering complex civil, data centre, and pharmaceutical projects, they combine engineering expertise with an innovative approach to modern construction.
Due to continued expansion across Germany, they are now seeking two experienced Commercial Leads to join their growing commercial team.
About the Role
In this position, you will take ownership of project financial management and cost control for large-scale industrial and technology projects across Germany. This is a long-term opportunity to join a top-tier contractor with a proven record on some of Europe’s most advanced developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage monthly valuations, progress claims, and final accounts.
- Monitor cash flow forecasts and project cost reports.
- Work with procurement to review and administer subcontracts.
- Analyse contract documentation to highlight risks or discrepancies.
- Liaise with client representatives to confirm valuations and variations.
- Lead commercial performance, ensuring accuracy and compliance across contracts.
- Support and mentor junior and assistant quantity surveyors.
- Maintain thorough documentation of contract changes, variations, and delays.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline – essential.
- Minimum 10 years’ commercial experience, ideally with a main contractor.
- Proven background in industrial, pharmaceutical, or data centre projects.
- Chartered (RICS, SCSI, or similar) or actively working toward chartership.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient with cost management and project control software.
- Fluent English; German skills a plus but not required.
- Right to work in Germany is mandatory.
