The Role
As Commercial Manager, you will take a lead role in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of projects, ensuring financial performance is maximised while maintaining strong relationships with clients and supply chain partners.
You will be instrumental in driving commercial strategy across multiple projects or a major scheme.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all commercial activities across projects from pre-construction through to final account
* Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting to ensure financial targets are achieved
* Oversee procurement strategy and subcontractor management
* Administer contracts and manage risk in line with contractual obligations
* Lead and mentor commercial teams, including Quantity Surveyors
* Work closely with operational teams to support successful project delivery
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
About You
* Strong background delivering projects in sectors such as residential, commercial, or healthcare
* Excellent knowledge of contract forms (e.g. JCT/NEC)
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects or large, complex schemes
* Leadership experience with the ability to develop and mentor teams
