Job Title: Commissioning Associate - Building Systems
Location: Orlando, FL (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 Annually (Based on experience)

Role Overview
The Commissioning Associate in Kuna, ID, will ensure that building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls, and fire/life safety) are commissioned, tested, and optimized for large commercial projects. This role requires a mix of technical expertise and field-based work, ensuring that systems are fully integrated and meet the client's operational needs.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist in developing detailed project schedules to ensure timely completion of commissioning activities for building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and automation
- Conduct thorough system testing and commissioning procedures, including verifying system performance against design specifications
- Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks to review and prepare schematics, system layouts, and design documentation
- Collaborate with project teams during construction phases to monitor installation quality and adherence to engineering standards
- Perform root cause analysis on system failures or performance issues, implementing corrective actions promptly
- Support manufacturing and fabrication processes related to building components and control systems
- Use programming such as Python, C++, C, and MATLAB for system automation, debugging, data analysis, and simulation tasks
- Apply systems engineering principles to integrate various building subsystems into cohesive operational units
- Conduct system design reviews ensuring compliance with industry standards like GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and electrical schematics
- Participate in maintenance planning for building systems to optimize longevity and reliability
- Engage in project scheduling activities to coordinate tasks across multiple disciplines efficiently
- Contribute to product development efforts by providing insights from commissioning experiences
- Support lean manufacturing practices by identifying process improvements during fabrication or installation phases
Required Background
- Experience: 2-5 years of commissioning experience, with a focus on MEPF systems
- Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or Construction Management
- Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and commissioning software
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Experience with hospitals, data centers, airports, or other critical facilities is
- Commissioning certifications (CxA, BCxA, NEBB, AABC) are a plus
- Ability to travel to project sites with a valid drivers license
