About the Role
\n
A global real estate and engineering firm is seeking an experienced Data Center Commissioning Professional to support the delivery of mission-critical data center projects across Atlanta and throughout the US and Canada.
\n
\n
The role will support new construction, greenfield developments, expansions, and upgrades, with a focus on ensuring the reliability, performance, and operational readiness of critical infrastructure.

\n
Key Responsibilities
\n

- Lead commissioning activities across electrical, mechanical, controls, and integrated systems.
- Oversee equipment installation, startup, pre-functional testing, and integrated systems testing.
- Develop and execute L1-L5 commissioning test scripts, SOPs, and MOPs.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems and coordinate issue resolution.
- Conduct network diagnostics, heat-load testing, scenario testing, and integrated systems testing.
- Review design drawings, specifications, and equipment submittals.
- Coordinate with Owners, Contractors, Engineers, Vendors, Manufacturers, and AHJs.
- Prepare commissioning reports, test documentation, and final systems manuals.
- Apply industry standards, including ASHRAE commissioning requirements.

Required Experience
\n
- \n
- 5–7+ years of relevant engineering, commissioning, or field-testing experience.
- 3–5+ years of third-party data center commissioning experience.
- Proven commissioning experience on 25MW+ data center projects.
- Strong electrical, mechanical, and/or controls commissioning expertise.
- Experience with critical systems including UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, liquid cooling/CDUs, and controls systems.
- Experience using testing equipment such as PQM, thermography, NETA testing equipment, ground testers, Hi-Pot, and Megger.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and commissioning/QA platforms such as BIM 360, CxAlloy, or Facility Grid.
- Strong communication, project management, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% across the US and Canada.

- Engineering or Engineering Technology degree from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent experience.
- Commissioning Professional certification.
- PE and/or PMP certification.
\n

Compensation & Location
\n
\n
Salary: $120,000–$200,000 DOE
\n
Location: Atlanta, GA
\n
Travel: Up to 25% across the US and Canada
\n
Work Authorization: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
