Commissioning Inspector
Location: Canton, MS

About the Role
We’re seeking a detail-driven Commissioning Inspector to support the delivery of high-performance data center projects. This role plays a key part in verifying that all building systems are installed, tested, and functioning according to project requirements. You’ll work closely with commissioning teams, project leadership, trade partners, and owners to ensure every system meets the reliability and quality standards expected in mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform field inspections and functional testing for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and low-voltage systems.
- Verify that installations align with design documents, specifications, and commissioning plans.
- Support the execution of commissioning scripts, test procedures, and integrated systems testing.
- Document findings, deficiencies, and test results with clarity and accuracy.
- Track and verify corrective actions to ensure issues are resolved before system turnover.
- Coordinate with commissioning agents, project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to maintain alignment on testing schedules and expectations.
- Assist in reviewing submittals, O&M manuals, and equipment start-up documentation.
- Participate in commissioning meetings, progress reviews, and owner discussions.
- Support the preparation of final commissioning reports and turnover packages.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and accountability across all commissioning activities.
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in commissioning, MEP inspection, MEP field supervision, or a related technical role.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, emergency power systems, cooling systems, fire protection, and controls.
- Experience with data centers, mission-critical facilities, hospitals, or industrial projects is highly .
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency with commissioning software, testing tools, and construction management platforms.
- Relevant certifications (CxA, CEM, NICET, LEED, etc.) are a plus
