Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Job type: 1 year contract with extensions (strong possibility for direct hire depending on performance)

Job summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to support a large-scale data center construction project in Omaha, Nebraska. This individual will play a key role in overseeing commissioning activities, coordinating with project stakeholders, and ensuring systems are delivered successfully and in alignment with project requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, engineers, vendors, and clients
  • Ensure building systems and equipment are commissioned according to project specifications
  • Track commissioning schedules, documentation, testing, and issue resolution
  • Support project turnover and closeout activities
  • Identify and resolve commissioning-related challenges in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Maintain strong communication across cross-functional project teams and stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commissioning management experience
  • Experience supporting data center, mission critical, commercial, industrial, or complex MEP construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction systems, commissioning processes, and project delivery
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and project timelines simultaneously
  • Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills
  • Experience working closely with owners, contractors, engineers, and field teams

experience:

  • Data center or mission critical project experience
  • Mechanical, electrical, or MEP systems commissioning background
  • Experience with startup, turnover, or integrated systems testing processes
