A nationally recognized builder in the mission-critical/data center sector is seeking a Commissioning Manager to support large-scale hyperscale data center projects across the United States. We are looking for a leader to build out a team across the country. The right person could be based anywhere.

\n
This is not a “clipboard commissioning” role. We are looking for someone who can drive the commissioning process from preconstruction through turnover while partnering closely with operations, MEP trades, clients, and third-party commissioning agents to ensure projects are delivered at the highest level.
\n
The right person understands the pace, pressure, and technical complexity of hyperscale construction environments and thrives in highly collaborative, fast-moving projects.

⚡ WHAT YOU WILL OWN
\n
• Lead and coordinate commissioning activities across major hyperscale data center projects
\n
• Drive commissioning schedules, turnover planning, startup sequencing, and system readiness
\n
• Partner with field operations, MEP trades, QA/QC, and clients to ensure smooth project execution
\n
• Identify and resolve commissioning risks before they impact schedule or turnover milestones
\n
• Oversee functional testing, integrated systems testing, and final turnover processes
\n
• Coordinate directly with third-party commissioning providers and owner representatives
\n
• Support development and implementation of commissioning standards, processes, and best practices
\n
• Help ensure operational readiness for mission-critical systems including electrical, mechanical, controls, and life safety infrastructure
\n

✔ Smooth project turnover with minimal rework and operational issues

✔ Strong collaboration between field teams, owners, and commissioning partners
\n
✔ Commissioning milestones achieved on or ahead of schedule
\n
✔ Proactive identification and resolution of technical or operational risks
\n
✔ High-level client confidence throughout turnover and startup phases
\n
✔ Consistent execution across multiple fast-track hyperscale programs
\n

IDEAL BACKGROUND
\n
• Data center or mission-critical commissioning experience
\n
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, controls, startup, and integrated testing
\n
• Experience working for a GC, MEP contractor, commissioning firm, or owner’s representative
\n
• Ability to manage fast-paced schedules and multiple stakeholders
\n
• Strong communication and leadership skills in high-pressure environments
\n
• Experience with hyperscale clients or large colocation platforms highly
\n
\n
