Location: Dallas, TX or Austin, TX

Shift: Day shift, with occasional weekends depending on project needs

Compensation: $90K – $120K (based on experience) + annual bonus eligibility

✈️ Travel: Up to 25% overnight travel

Position Overview

We’re seeking a Commissioning Specialist to lead electrical and mechanical commissioning efforts on complex projects. This role will be hands-on, working closely with contractors, vendors, engineers, and clients to ensure electrical power and control systems are properly tested and validated.

Projects you’ll support include:

  • Airports
  • Data centers
  • Central utility plants
  • Office buildings

This role requires someone who can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, with strong leadership, problem-solving, and safety-focused skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule commissioning activities.
  • Prepare test scripts and oversee commissioning and testing in the field.
  • Direct electrical system testing, troubleshooting, and validation.
  • Collaborate with mechanical commissioning engineers, design engineers, contractors, vendors, and clients.
  • Provide detailed reporting and documentation of commissioning activities.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with electrical testing, commissioning, or electrical design.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and codes.
  • Skilled in using electrical testing equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong leadership, safety awareness, and problem-solving abilities.
