We are seeking an experienced Concrete Superintendent to join our Infrastructure team and lead concrete operations on large-scale building and civil projects across Louisiana and the Gulf South.
Position Summary
The Concrete Superintendent is responsible for managing, coordinating, and overseeing all field operations related to concrete construction, including foundations, slabs, structural walls, elevated decks, tilt-up panels, and site concrete. This position ensures that all concrete work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within quality standards. The role requires strong technical knowledge of concrete construction methods, crew supervision, coordination with subcontractors, and close collaboration with Project Managers, Engineers, and Quality Control. This leadership role is critical to ensuring that every LEMOINE concrete project reflects our core values of Safety, Quality, and Performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all daily activities related to concrete operations, including layout, formwork, rebar placement, pour sequencing, finishing, and curing.
- Work closely with Project Management, Safety, Quality Control, and Field Engineers to ensure all structural concrete work meets contract specifications, design intent, and industry standards.
- Lead and manage concrete crews, subcontractors, and equipment operators, maintaining high morale, productivity, and a culture of safety and respect.
- Develop short-term and long-term work plans in coordination with project schedules and look-aheads.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, LEMOINE Safety Program, and quality control procedures on all pours and field activities.
- Inspect formwork, rebar placement, embeds, and concrete finishes for accuracy and quality before and after each pour.
- Schedule concrete deliveries, coordinate with batch plants, and oversee concrete testing (slump, temperature, cylinder sampling, etc.).
- Manage equipment and materials, ensuring availability and efficiency in the field.
- Track manpower, productivity, material usage, and daily production logs using LEMOINE’s project management systems.
- Proactively identify and resolve field issues, potential conflicts, or delays with design, materials, or labor.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to foremen, carpenters, and laborers.
- Collaborate with survey and layout teams to verify elevations, dimensions, and alignment before pours.
- Participate in pre-pour meetings, daily huddles, and coordination meetings with field leadership and clients.
- Promote a culture of safety-first, teamwork, accountability, and craftsmanship on every project.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in structural or heavy civil concrete construction, with at least 5 years in a Superintendent or Foreman-level role.
- Proven experience managing large-scale concrete projects such as data centers, healthcare facilities, parking structures, wastewater plants, or industrial buildings.
- Strong understanding of formwork systems (Peri, Symons, EFCO, Doka, etc.), rebar detailing, concrete mix designs, and finishing techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and structural plans.
- In-depth knowledge of ACI standards, OSHA safety regulations, and concrete QA/QC procedures.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in construction scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting using project management tools.
- Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

- OSHA 30, ACI Certification, or NCCER credentials .
